Things have been rather slow here this winter. So the postings are few and far between. Sorry. River is competing for his Grand Ch. before he ships to his new home and today he went Group 4 under breeder/judge Terri Lyddon with handler Paul Catterson.
Unfortunately Group placings do not help in his quest for Grand Ch. points but he did pick up two Grand points today giving him 14 now.
Chief didn't do anything but that is ok..he is at that puppy 9-12 age. I should probably move him to Am. Bred. But we are so thrilled for River, his breeder, new owner and handler and also for us!

Seems Black is the In Color Here This Year

Not to be outdone..little Abby came to us a few weeks before Kale. She wasn't quite as brave as he is so he has helped her see the world isn't as scary as she thought. She was born in August so is approaching 6 months of age. Her first photo shoot so we are proud the photo is as good as it is...she is gorgeous when she self stacks but of course, she is very tense here and I see my photographer helper (hubby who hates to help take photos) had himself off kilter or something cause she looks like she is going down hill when really she has a beautiful level topline.
Her name is Ka-Lynn's N Lamars Black Diamond-S. Thank you Karen for sharing her with me. I know judges aren't fond of chi's who are all black but we hope we can get her to show well enough they'll overlook it.
New At Lamars
Introducing Kale, Tjs N Lamars True Grit-S, born Oct 15, 2010. So he is just 3 months old and this is his first try at a photo shoot. He didn't do too bad.
He is such an wonderful puppy so far...beautiful temperament. I hate to hope...but one can't help when you have such a promising baby. He is River's half brother.
Kale came to us from friend Tammy Caswell who bought both his parents from me. She hadn't planned the breeding but fate intervened and here we are..lol Thank you Tammy.
Watch for him a Spring shows and if all goes as planned he'll be at the Chi National Specialty in Calif this Spring.

Show News Sunday January 9, 2011
Well, this isn't the best weekend we have had at shows but certainly isn't the worst either. It was actually pretty decent.
Started with Murray winning a point at the Indio shows in CA on Thursday. Then on Friday and Saturday River won Select dog for a couple more singles towards his Grand Ch. Gage winning his Group 2 on Saturday was the icing on the cake.
Then our IG male that is sold to Sweden but is showing for his Ch. here first got his last two singles this weekend. Now he is on to Atlanta in Feb. with Nina Fetter for majors hopefully. His new owner is being very patient. We picked the wrong time of year to try to bring an IG out for majors...think they all hibernate in the winter...lol But he has broke his losing streak hopefully and will continue on now.
So had dogs showing in 4 states and they won in all four. Not too shabby.
Too early in the day to hear what River and Gage did but Murray's major broke in CA. and I am not sure when Gage shows today.
