Back Home

Thank you one and all for your prayers and support during our time of evacuation (4 1/2 months) from our home this year. We finally were able to return to our house this past Sunday. It looks like a dead zone here. No thriving crops of soybeans or corn any more anywhere here. No more green pastures. All covered by sand and mud that is now drying....

We didn't actually have flooding in the house but it did flood our property and came within 30 feet of the house. Lots of clean up but not what most people are having to contend with.

I am having to scrub down everything in the house due to it sitting vacant in the humidity all summer.

Also having to wash every stitch of clothing, bedding, rugs etc. And every dish before putting it in the freshly scrubbed cupboards/closets etc.

Enough work here for 10 people and there is just little old me in the house and hubby outside. We'll git r done tho.

Thanks again. Just pray it doesn't happen (as predicted) next Spring.
