People have been emailing me that the Jan 31st National Rankings are posted and Grand Ch. Lamars Dream Big is # 3 on the Breed Point System and Grand Ch. Lamars Riverdance is #6. River had only been in 3 weekends of shows in January so this is quite a feat for him.
Then on the All Breed Point System Dream Big (Gage) is #7 and River is #18. River was only out competing for his Grand Championship but made a big statement while doing so. He will be leaving the States approximately Feb 28. So we'll watch for more good news from him over in Asia and Europe.
Gage will continue on for a while I think. But his owner, Shawn, said she misses him and wants him home soon.
I don't usually care much about rankings because alot of it is politics and money. I have known this for 30 odd years. But when one of the Lamar dogs is out specialing and getting ranked...they are winning on their own merit. Not because we have put thousands of dollars behind them in advertising. I like my dogs to win because they deserve it. So that is why these dogs getting ranked so early in the year rather pleased me.
