Lamars Chi's Have Brains & Beauty

We are so proud to show that someone has taken one of the Lamar's chihuahua's on to agility. Blaze (Lamars Raising The Bar) is a neutered male who is our Lucy's littermate. He is being shown in agility by his 10 year old owner Anna. Their first competition in Teacup Agility netted them a bunch of ribbons. He won Games 3 times and got title in that. I guess the fact that he and his 10 year old owner learned 3 games and moved up to 3x in one day is amazing. They are now ready for Level 2. Then he won 1st place in Standard and Jumpers.

Blaze is totally amazing not only because he loves agility and has all the desire and try in the world. But he is doing all this with one eye. He had an accident last year and lost his sight in one eye. We all thought that was the end of his agility career. But no one told that to Blaze.

I told Lucy, I think her brother got all the brains in her litter... But maybe not, maybe she is just outsmarting me. I can't even get her to walk around the show ring without making me out the fool. We only need two lousy points for her Ch. She leads me around rather than vice versa! lol Really it isn't funny to be made a fool of by a 4 1/2 pound dog! lol

Way to Go Blaze and Anna. They are used to running the big dog courses...and Blaze does the weave poles and jumps and teeter just fine in those two. Watch for updates on this little Dynamic Duo.

Congratulations Gypsy and Pat

My friend Pat Anders emailed last night with a nice win on her beautiful l/c girl Gypsy. Gypsy went Best of Opposite Sex over 2 Specials for a 3 pt major. Way to go girls. I am not the breeder of Gypsy but sold both parents to the breeder and then assisted in the sale of the litter. Gypsy's registered name is Lamars Journey To Belcanto.

Pat also has Gypsy's litter sister Ella. Ella is a sable and alot smaller so will be a while maturing. That is ok tho, Gypsy can finish and then it will be Ella's turn. They are littermates to Madison who is leaving for Thailand in February.

Chavonne and Murray at Eukanuba

Chavonne, my 5 year old granddaughter, was such a trooper sitting for 2 days for hours and hours watching the dog show that she wanted to get her picture taken showing her best friend Murray. She does a great job. Wish she were old enough to show. She loves it and was so excited to get to clap and holler for groups! lol Murray was worn out but was a trooper also. He has 10 points so hopefully we'll get him finished soon.

EUKANUBA WAS GREAT

I just want to give my heartfelt Thank You to Shawn Jones, owner of Grand Ch. Lamars Dream Big (Ch Hurds Blazin The Way At Lamar x Ch. Fandango Lamar Sweet Dreams) for recently completing his Grand Championship and who won an Award of Merit at Eukanuba. Shawn purchased Gage as a puppy and promised to show him to his potential and she has certainly fulfilled that promise. I congratulate her and thank her again for loving Gage and showing him. We'll see you at Westminister Gage. Perry Payson did a wonderful job of handling Gage also.

Also many congratulations to Karen Terry, owner of the Best of Variety at Eukanuba winner Grand Ch. Ka-Lynn's N Belles I'm Your Superman (Ch. Lamars Clark Kent x Fandango Lamar's Heart N Soul). What a wonderfully exciting win this is for all parties involved from breeder to owner to us that bred his parents. Watch for Chuckie at Westminister also. I feel I can claim part of Chuckie's being here because I encouraged his breeder Debbie Chambers to purchase Sally (his dam) to breed the male she purchased from me (Ch. Lamars Clark Kent) The result was two male puppies...both who finished their Ch. easily.

We can't say enough about both Karen and Shawn as wonderful friends and owners...again Congratulations from Lamars.
