Whoppee...River won Best of Winners again today for 2 pts. Now we just need one single point to finish. If he just hadn't gotten Reserve Friday and took the point we'd be done. Oh well, can't win them all. As it was he won 3 out of 4 days and took Reserve the day he didn't win.
Lucy on the other hand, is such a pistol to show that she beats herself most of the time. She makes her own ring pattern and thinks she is the 4 pound boss! Plus, the 3 judges did not do much with colors other than fawn. So on to Sioux Falls, SD this next weekend. Wish us luck so we can come home with two new Champions.
We had a good time and was good to visit with friends we hadn't seen for a couple months. Thanks for all the kind words of congrats from everyone.

Saturday Show Results (Oct 23, 2010)
River won his second major today...we are so happy and thankful for that. He now needs 3 singles. Lucy hasn't won the last two days but I had forgotten that the judges like only fawn...so I should have saved my entry dollar! So it has been a good weekend and have tomorrow to go yet. Praying I grab something more on River. Then we are on to Sioux Falls, SD for 3 days next weekend. Hoping to have them both finished at the end of that weekend before winter hits.
Then a young male sired by a Ch male Ivy owned (JP) won a group 3 today! He went BoV from the classes over Specials to earn his way the hard way to group. Congratulations to him and his breeder Kathy Hulstein of Victory Boxers.
Chuckie isn't feeling well today so he didn't show up to his expected level. We are hoping it is just a little bug of some kind and nothing serious coming on.

Show Results Aug 21 and 22 Lincoln NE
Today a gorgeous male(Gr. Ch Ka-Lynn's N Belles I'm Your Superman) who is sired by Ch. Lamars Clark Kent and out of pretty Sally (a girl Ivy had bought and sold) took his first Group placement today A group 4...Congratulations to owner Karen Terry of Ka-Lynn's. Also many congratulations to breeder Debbie Chambers.
Chuckie has been specialed by his owner on a pretty limited basis but is Mr Showman and sure deserves to be noticed. Karen has been very dedicated to him and has him ranked Number 5 Smooth coat Nationally.
I am especially proud of Chuckie. Even tho I did not breed him, I did breed his sire and also told Debbie to buy his dam and breed the two. Hence, I feel I am pretty responsible for him being here.
I won a point Thursday on River and Lucy. so they are closing in on their titles. But today, the karma was just off I guess for me...River got reserve and Lucy nothing! I know the judge today likes Fawn color tho and Lucy is black/white. And River beat himself. He was trying to pick every morsel off the floor rather than looking at the judge to try to win! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Gayle's 6 week Post Op Results
Wednesday I had to go to a gynecologic oncologist due to the pathology from my hysterectomy coming back with two different cancerous small tumors. The one on the ovary was a really rare kind that my doctor had never seen but just read about. Since the ovary was removed it is no further problem.
The small spot in my uterine tissue was caught early and is a Grade 1 so I require no further surgery at this time. Thank God. When I moved here I did it to be close to the U. of Neb. Medical Center...a top ranked facility on all levels including cancer and transplants. I should have been going there through my surgery and not where I went. I find that the doctor I had made a few mistakes and I should have followed my gut instinct. Live and Learn...I keep saying that and I am 62 and still don't follow it like I should.
Anyway, other than dr. visits every 3 months for the next 3 years to keep an eye on lymph nodes etc., to make sure no cancer reappears (he said only 6-7% chance) I am not in any immediate danger and thank God once again, no chemo or radiation.
When one gets a scare like this you definitely appreciate the little things in life. I do have to take it easy for another month ... long story there...but due to one of the little 'mistakes' my other doctor made there is part of the surgery not healing well internally. But I can still show the dogs!!!! lol Just no major lifting etc.

Weekend Show Results
I just returned from my visit to California this weekend. Had a great time. Watched the GREAT RACE HORSE ZENYATTA win her 19th race in a row. She'll definitely go down in history as one of the all time great race horses so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to watch what probably is her next to last race. She is on to the Breeders Cup in Kentucky now.
We have a new Champion...Lamars Autumn Chill-L finished her title this past weekend....Ivy and Rick (her owners/breeders) are thrilled. Thank you to Karen Terry and Pam for showing her.
River won his class of 5 but that was about all after he took the 4 pt major on Thurs.
Razzle was showing in NY competing for the Grand Ch title and she won a Select on Sat. and BOV on Sunday so she is over half way to the Grand Ch title. All in all not a bad weekend. Thank you Cathleen.

River and Chilly Win at Toy Specialty in Salina, KS
Lamars Riverdance (River) won a 4 point major yesterday which was a huge thrill for us. There were 10 males entered and his open class had 7 of them! We are at the end of the line number 7! I thought Gads..we'll never get seen back here. But River is such a showman and can outmove about everything around...that we didn't get missed!
Then Ivy asked me to take her l/c bitch, Lamars Autumn Chill (Chilly), in for her and we wont a single with her. Darn she didn't get the crossover or she'd be finished...she now needs two points to finish. Thank you to jude Keke Kahn for these nice wins.
I am leaving for CA today so we left River and Chilly with friends to show for us. So we are hoping and praying Chilly can get her last 2 points and that hopefully River can pick up his second major.
