Razzle Another Select Bitch Award
Here is a photo of Razzle going Best of Variety over 4 Specials for a 5 pt major under Judge Stephen Hubbell. We thank Cathleen Cogan Bird for her superb handling. Also want to thank Joan Groh, her breeder, for purchasing Razzle's sire and dam from Lamars and following our advice that they would make a good cross.
Razzle's sire is now in Russia and is and American Russian Champion. His owner Nikolay is deservedly proud of him.
Razzle has her second Select Bitch award so is well on her way to her Grand Champion Title.

Razzle Wins First Points Towards Grand Champion
Razzle's first time out as a Special today was given the Select Bitch Award so she now had a major towards her Grand Championship.
I had never really planned on campaigning one for a Grand Ch. Title but since she is already entered and back on the East Coast with Cathleen we figured we might as well go for it. She is at the top of her game right now so hopefully when she comes home this fall I'll have a Gr. Ch. Ch. Can Ch Bitch.

NEW CHAMPION LAMARS RAZZLE DAZZLEN'M V LARILE
I am so extremely proud to announce another Lamars Champion. Razzle finished with a 4 pt major today (8/14) under Judge James Reynolds at the Southern Adirondak Dog Club Show in Ballston Spa, NY. This is a 5 day circuit ending tomorrow and Razzle has won 3 of the 4 majors so far. She already had a 3 pt major so yesterday's win put her at 12...this 4 pts gets her over the hump (3,4,5,4)
She will now move up to compete for the Grand Ch title and also her Canadian title. Then in the fall we will breed her to Can. Ch. Cam's Jeepers Peepers before coming home. Thank you so much Cathleen for the wonderful care and handling of my dogs.

RAZZLE WINS BIG TODAY
RED LETTER DAY. Just received a call and Razzle just went BEST OF VARIETY OVER 4 SPECIALS FOR A 5 POINT MAJOR. Thank you to Cathleen Cogan Bird for her outstanding handling and to Judge Stephen Hubbell for this Big Win!
Razzle was sent to Cathleen needing some work on the show attitude. She hated the lead tugging on her. Cathleen has worked miracles with her as you can tell.
I guess there were quite a few exhibitors with Specials that weren't very happy getting beat by a Class Bitch. But that is dog showing. Razzle is now up to 12 points...she has only majors to her credit...3,4 and now 5 points with two more days to go...
WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Lucy's 5 pt Major Win Photo
Little Miss Lucy has been a challenge at times...she is very cute, saucy, and showy...but she certainly has a mind of her own. She doesn't like to move against a wall so I know if we get there and one side of the ring has a wall I just as well pull her because she'll tug and pull on the lead to cross the ring way before we get to the wall! Who knows why. When she was a puppy I thought..oh boy is she going to be fun...she'll finish so fast out of the puppy class. HA...funny me! We got to the show with a nicely lead broke puppy who decided she wasn't going to walk on the concrete or mats...she wanted to be a dustmop!
So we put her away for the winter to grow up in her little mind! This is where the patience I speak of quite often any more...comes in. These chi's have taught me to patiently wait them out on many things, bites, testicles, personalities, learning to lead. They are so different from other breeds I have shown. Patience runs a little thin sometimes tho! lol
Anyway, she finally got it together and has 10 pts with both majors now. We will probably pursue the Grand Champion title once we get this one done with.
As many of you, I can always look at the photos we take at the shows (usually in a rush...either the judge, ourselves to get to another ring or the photographer) and see things we should have done differently. I see I didn't realize I had her squished up and caused her to look roachy. But something I'll really watch next time I get a photo! Usually they will say move this or that and it comes back and I am angry that I listened cause it isn't right. I think he was telling me to move her feet, hence she probably tensed up on me. Oh well. She's cute anyway.

Razzle Grabs 4 Point Major Today
I just got an email from Cathleen Cogan Bird that Lamars RazzleDazzlen'm Larile (Razzle) just won a 4 point major today (8/11/10) in Ballston Spa, NY. Cathleen is a miracle worker cause Razzle was a real challenge to get to show. She wasn't really scared but hated the lead to tug on her at all. Cathleen spent many hours working with her (something I run short on patience with...lol) and this is her second major in very very limited showing here in the US. I think this is maybe her 3rd or 4th show here is all and both majors and a reserve if I remember correctly.
When Razzle is finished we will possibly breed her to Can. Ch. Cam's Jeepers Peepers...provided she is still in Canada at the time.
