PENNY FINISHES AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP TODAY

Cathleen just emailed that Penny finished her American Championship today 7/25/10 in NY. She had needed a single point for a couple months now but hadn't been to many US shows. Penny has been grabbing quite a few Best of Breed wins in Canada and now she can move up here. They are showing in Ballston Spa this week. Penny is a Frankie son (my Ch. Hurds Blazin The Way At Lamar) I had also owned and finished Penny's dam Liberty and sold her bred to Frankie. So even tho I am not the actual breeder I feel I am because she was bred here. I am so happy for Cathleen and Penny. Now if I could get Penny's littermate Lira to show as well! Cathleen puts a great deal of time in on her dogs which is something I can just never find time to do.

Penny's littersister Lira is available for sale to a show home. She is actually as nice or nicer than her sis but her sis has the show attitude a bit more.

Sire of Sugar's Litter Ranked #5 S/C in US

Here are the 3 kids from Chuckie (Ch. Belles N Ka-Lynn's I'm Your Superman who is currently #5 s/c male in the US! X Ch. Fandango Lamars Sweet Dreams. These kids are 9 weeks old now and did very well in their first stacking sessions. Course I find babies do stack well until they figure out it is something they HAVE to do! lol One of the boys will be available.

News From Canada

Just heard from Cathleen in Canada. Spencer (Can. Ch.Lamars Making A Statement) won Best of Breed both days last weekend. Cathleen is burning up the pavement going to the shows...she was in Nashville, TN and then back to Canada for shows last weekend. This weekend she is in Ballston Spa, NY. I am hoping to hear of more wins for Spencer but most especially my smooth girl Razzle who is also with Cathleen trying to get a title before we breed her this fall.

Congratulations and keep winning, Cathleen.

LUCY GARNERS 5 PT MAJOR TODAY

Our little Miss Lucy (Lamars The Closer) won WB, BW, BOS today for a 5 point major. Way to go Lucy. She now has her majors and 10 points. We show in Omaha again tomorrow. It would sure be nice to grab that other 5 pt major and be finished! She showed pretty well and all we can do with her is hope she has her little mind on showing instead of 'being Lucy'. Lucy sometimes does as Lucy wants...which means NOT going the way we are supposed to go but the way she THINKS we should go etc. Always a challenge, but she is fun. Today she kept stretching in the ring almost like she was bowing...as I say...she's a challenge.

We just heard this evening that another puppy we sold to our good friend Pat in Virginia made her ring debut today and won 2 pts! She got lots of good comments from fellow exhibitors. We called this puppy Sable when she was on our site a few weeks ago. She is now called Ella...Belcanto Sentimental Journey...

More News from Alaska

I think I neglected to mention in posting the wins in Alaska that Goldy (a Sugar/Frankie l/c girl) won WB both days last weekend for another couple singles. She has 8 points now with a 5 point major. Having trouble finding majors in Alaska...

So we'll keep our eyes watching her progress also. Good luck Mimi

SPENCER & RAZZLE WIN MAJORS THIS WEEKEND

Spencer, who is just 8 months old, finished his Canadian Title weekend before last and before that won Best Long Coat Puppy at the Michigan Chi specialty...just took back to back 4 point majors this 4th of July weekend...the second one he also won Best of Breed! Wow...he is kicking butt and taking names it seems.

We are also thrilled that our girl Razzle won a 3 pt major on Friday at the same shows as Spencer and went Best Opposite. This is just her start up...she needed some training and it looks like Cathleen has done just that...has her fine tuned it looks like so we are hoping for more wins from her also.

Thank you so much Cathleen for showing our dogs to the best of their ability. Good luck in Nashville with Spencer.

New Arrival At Lamars

We are so happy to have this new little girl here at Lamars. She came to us from our good friend Debbie Chambers. I have been waiting for this repeat litter (she is full sister to Chuckie...who is now ranked #6 Smooth Coat with very limited showing) and even tho I like smooth coats best she was the nicest in the litter so Debbie was nice enough to sell her to me.
Watch out in 3 months! She's a good one. (course I have to watch what I say...don't want to jinx her with getting my hopes too high!) Her sire is Ch. Lamars Clark Kent.
Sugar's litter that is now 5 weeks old is her niece and nephews! They are so very nice also. I am excited to see how they grow up. So far I like all 3.
