Lamars would like to present its first Russian
title holder. Lamars Sandy Dream For Masway recently attained her Russian Junior Champion 2009 title. Congratulations to her proud owner and my friend, Marina and to Sandy for doing so well.

Sandys' litter brother Gage has been making tracks in the US being ranked number 10 Smooth coat so Sugar and Frankie are very proud of their kids in the ring. Thank you Marina.

Peepers Closing In On Canadian Title

Just received an email from Cathleen in Ontario, CA that Peepers garnered two points today. He is only 3 points away from his Canatian Championship now. Hopefully, he will be finished this weekend. Then on to the US to try for that title. Good luck Cathleen and Peepers.

Murray and Sunday Grab Wins This Weekend

Sunday, a very pretty little red and white IG bitch owned by Robbie M. of Northern Iowa garnered WB two days at Rapid City, SD for a point each day. Rob was grateful to finally get some competition and win a couple of the day. He has been showing Sunday for quite a few months but sadly has had no competition in most of the shows, so was not able to win any points. Now hopefully that has ended and she'll be well on her way. Her litter sister, Didi now has 11 points and both majors so Sunday is gonna try to catch up.

Murray, a beautiful smooth coat male out of Frankie and Eve, hasn't been shown since February. So he went to a fun match in Gardenia, CA on Sunday and won a Group 2. So we think he must have remembered some of his show stuff! Needless to say, Lisa was thrilled with that win ... Murray had been not sure he wanted to show in the Spring so we put him away for a while. He has a single point with a BoV win this February and placed at the National Specialty last fall. We have high hopes for Murray...so watch for him in Southern California.

Sugar and Frankie's Daughter Dreamy

Just thought I'd share this beautiful photo of Dreamy. She was the smallest of the 4 puppies and is still pretty small. She is due to become a mommy any day. After she raises this litter she will be seen in the show ring in pursuit of her Championship. She is a littermate to Gage, the #10 smoothcoat right now. Her other two siblings are in Russia and one is already a JR Russian Ch. The other one has been shown with some awards but is also raising a family first. So This litter will all 4 have Title 2 in the US and two in Russia.
Sugar and Frankie's next litter all stayed small so they will be next year before hitting the show ring. Not sure one will ever get big enough for me to decide to show her...but we will see.

October Show News

Ivy and I have been so busy this fall that we have not managed to enter many shows. We finally got to one this past weekend and did ok on Saturday. Ivy took WB in longs with Chilli from the Bred By class and Gayle took WB in smooths with Scotch from the Open class. Unfortunately both got Reserve on Sunday. If you know Gayle, that of course didn't set well with her because the bitch that went up had a wry mouth and Scotch only needed that single point to FINISH! Needless to say, it was a day of fuming! lol I swear, sometimes we wonder why we put ourselves thru all this grief and aggravation. The judges are supposed to judge the whole dog and she did not do that on Sunday. All she judged was heads. What a disservice to the breed when you put up something that has a serious fault as opposed to the ones in the ring that didn't. But we all run in to that in this dog show game. It is sure hard on the nerves tho.

So....Scotch is still a point short! Peepers took another point this past weekend in Canada and two more Reserves! If he isn't careful, he'll be rivaling Scotch for the most number of Reserves.

I think we should all write AKC and tell them we think we should get something for reserve...whether it be a 1/2 point or ? but something. Scotch has defeated enough bitches in her career to have finished 2 times easily if you could count what she defeated in the reserves. It just has been something that never made sense to me.

Oh well, I'll get off my soap box for now.
