Peepers Winning In Canada

Well, Peepers, recouperated from his scary experience with the loving care of Cathleen Bird and in his first Canadian shows this past weekend came away with 4 points, winning Best of Breed today. Way to go Peepers. Looking forward to his Canadian title. Thanks again for all the hard work Cathleen has put in on Peepers. He didn't really know if he liked showing that well but she has put in hours of work and it is showing.

This weekend we are praying Clark Kent finishes his American Ch ... he needs a single point to finish...Scotch is looking for her last 2 points...so gonna try real hard to get them both done!

ALL IS WELL! PEEPERS MIRACULOUSLY FOUND

Thanks to all the prayers on behalf of Peepers, he was found Sunday morning about 5 miles from where he was lost. He was worn out and sitting on an elderly woman's porch in a chair. When she let her own dog out it chased Peepers under her porch. She called the Sheriff who immediately knew who it was. They came and after much work had to trap him in a live trap because he was too afraid to come to them.

Anyway, we have him safe and he is a little worn out and has some sore feet! But, all is well that ends well. Thanks to everyone in the Oswego NY area for all the efforts they put in to helping find him. It puts faith back in human nature. I have had a few things happen this year with people that had kind of taken some of that faith in my human beings away, but this helps to restore it. Thanks again to all.

HELP!! PEEPERS IS LOST IN NEW YORK

It is with a sad heart that I write to ask your help if you live in the upstate New York area by Oswego. I had sent Peepers up to some friends to show and he escaped their camper at the show site and is still lost. This happened Friday night August 14. Please, put out the word to anyone you know who might be in the area to watch for this little male. He is afraid and probably won't come up to strangers..but he will be geting tired and hungry. He likes to get in flower beds and hide and seek under the foliage.

He does have an Avid Microchip. If you spot him or have any information you may call me at 712 310 4586 cell. Thank you.

JP DOES IT IN A WEEKEND

WOO HOO...I got a call last night from Mimi in Alaska...JP is up there to be shown and was supposed to ship home Sunday night after the shows. Mimi said, "Well Gayle, you aren't going to be able to finish JP down there." I said, "Really? Why?" SHE YELLS..."BECAUSE I FINISHED HIM UP HERE!" lol

JP won THREE 5 POINT MAJORS THIS WEEKEND TO FINISH IN ONE WEEKEND....AND WENT A GROUP 2 ON THE FIRST DAY.

This boy is a little bit bigger dog but he is very sound, gorgeous head and can move! Outstanding temperament too. He is for sale if anyone is looking for a Champion Stud dog....Congratulations to Ivy, Mimi and his breeder Dorothy and the owner of his sire Max Hurd.

On A Roll

More good news keeps trailing in. Mimi called from Alaska and told us that Ivy's JP won a 5 point major and a GROUP 2 from the classes. Then little Goldy (a 10 month old l/c puppy out of Sugar and Frankie's last litter) won a 5 point major also. Goldy is Gage's full sister so she has big steps to follow! Goldy belongs to Mimi but she is showing JP for Ivy. Thanks to Mimi for her efforts and Congrats to Ivy and JP's breeder Dorothy Herren. Also Thank you Mimi for loving Goldy and showing her to such a nice win under Stephen Hubbel.

More Lamars Wins This Last Weekend

Remy's brother, Knight Ryder, owned by Karen Terry of Peculiar, MO won back to back 4 point majors at the Crab Orchard Kennel Club this past weekend shown by Karen's daughter April. This sets Ryder at 11 points... He is out of Ch. Hurd's Prom Knight and out of Ch. Davishall Lamars Beep Beep. He should finish this month we hope.

Show Results from Bismarck, ND showed that the representatives from Lamars made us proud once again.

In the Italian Greyhound ring, Didi won BOB over a Special 3 days in a row garnering 3 points for herself. Doc, a beautiful seal boy, went WD and BOS two days and Reserve the other day. These guys were shown by their owner Erika Phillips. Congratulations to all.

Then in the Chihuahua ring...a long coat male puppy out of two Lamars parents won a Group 4 in his first show. Not too shabby! Joan Groh is his owner/breeder. Congratulations to Joan and family. It makes us proud to know people can take our dogs just about anywhere and win. This makes two dogs of Lamars parentage placing in the Group this past weekend in different shows.

Lastly, I noticed that a bitch sired by the last Doberman Pinscher male I owned won WB one of the days at Bismarck. So made my heart feel good to know even in the Dobe ring I could find a connection to dogs I owned after all these years. I am so proud of everyone involved.

Gage Wins a Group 1 in Canada

I just learned from a friend that Gage, Ch. Lamars Dream Big, is now a Canadian Champion as well. He was in Calgary, Canada this past weekend and on his way to his title won a Group 1 as well. Way to go Gage, and it seems he is living up to his name...I believe Gage is also still in the US Top Twenty Smooth coat standings.

Thank you Shawn Jones for promoting Gage and Good Luck in your future shows.

Tweety...A Rescue Looking For A Forever Home

I work at a veterinarian clinic that does a lot of work with a wonderful dog rescue group, Hearts United For Animals. So I see first hand many animals that were raised in Puppy Mills and are brought to us for spay/neuters and dentals etc. before they are placed in homes.

On Friday, a man came to our clinic with this pretty girl and instead of a nice dainty leash, he had a large chain, like a tie out chain, on her. He had some story that his cousin gave her to him but he can only have 1 dog so he needed to get her a rabies shot so he could keep her until he found her a home.

Well, my heart went out to her and I immediately told him I would take her and be responsible for her being spayed/dental and vaccinations and heartworm test. After that, I'd find her a home. Meanwhile, my wonderful sister, Ivy, came in the the clinic and I showed Tweety to her. She took her home with her and is fostering her until we can find Tweety a great home after her surgery this next Tuesday.

Tweety is a wonderful, quiet girl that seems to be very well housebroke. She gets along with the other chi's and just likes a lap. So if you know of anyone wanting to give this wonderful girl a great home with lots of love let me know. gessex3113@iowatelecom.net
