Gayle's Email Is Out

I'm using this forum to notify people (hoping they check here once in a while) that my email has been out since Wednesday. I have no idea when the engineers at iowatelecom will have it fixed. All I know is I am going nuts without it...lol. so if you have emailed me wondering why I am not answering that is why. I am sure I'll have a few hours worth to answer once it gets back working.

HEY HEY HEY LOOKIE HERE AT THE NEW IG BABIES

Take a look at these beauties. I don't own this litter but am the breeder of both the sire and dam so am the grandma! There are 2 boys and 3 girls. I am lucky enough to have puppies coming back from Erika so lets hope them to continue on to be as beautiful as they are now. Congrats Erika. If you are interested in a puppy let me know and I'll forward on to Erika.

Seward KC Show News

Well, this weekend was pretty much a bust too...darn...must have used up all our luck the Wichita weekend...lol. Liberty did win Winners Bitch on Saturday for 2 points...it was just one bitch short of a major...

Remy and Clark didn't do anything. Clark did not show up to his ability...he didn't care for the early 4 AM wake up call. I have found he is one who likes to sleep in...so these early morning ring times don't agree with him...lol

Scotch took a RWB to the 4 point major on Sunday. I could have cried. She needs that major so bad...but she seems to always be coming up the bridesmaid and not the bride.

Little Juno went RWB to Liberty on Saturday. She is not my best eater so I have to get to work on her weight. She is going to mature slowly I believe. So will just have patience. We had lots of puppies entered to help boost points and get experience. They all did pretty well handling the show ring...but we didn't expect anything out of them...just walk around the ring and have fun.

Course then next weekend back to reality cause we didn't win but 2 pts! lol Congratulations again to owners Debbie and Dena and Thanks again to Rob Meerdink for taking the kids for us.

Blaze and Gobble's New Litter

Proudly presenting Ch. Fandango Blaze of Glory and Hurd's Let's Talk Turkey's new babies. Born on Tax Day...April 15...left to right girl boy girl. They are like little triplets. Sadly there was a 4th baby that was a big boy that didn't survive. But we are happy with 3 happy healthy babies. Mom is doing fine too for a first time Mom.
I like these 3 so well I won't be selling any until I see how they turn out ...

Tribute To Margarita

It is with a sad heart we pay tribute to a wonderful little blue/rust Chi, Margarita. Being new to the midwest we wanted to visit a puppy mill to see one for ourselves. This one wasn't as bad as most are, but we couldn't resist 'saving' one of them, of course. Hence along came Margarita. She lived with my daughter and her family, being a great little companion for granddaughter Jaidelynn.

Unfortunately, Margarita was such a little cutie that she was always begging for and getting food and gobbling any crumbs that might have hit the floor from Jaidelynn. Brandy knew Margie was too fat but was so hard to keep her out of the other dogs food. Then the past couple weeks she started having problems. Turns out her belly was also distended from Cancer which caused her to get diabetes. Then her kidneys started to fail, so it was decided to give her dignity in death and put her to rest.

Good bye Margarita. Sleep well.

Show News From Grove, OK April 10

Today was Remy's day to shine. He won Winners Dog but unfortunately the major broke by one dog! He is now singled out with ten points and needs his majors to finish.

Clark Kent won his class and so did Liberty but that is the best they could do today. We'll see if we can get more wins gathered up tomorrow and Sunday. Liberty is at 8 with one major, Clark is at 9 with both majors, Scotch is at 9 with one major, and Remy is at 10 with no majors. So if we are lucky maybe one of these guys can finish this weekend.

Two New Long Coat Boys at Lamars

These two boys are quite the outgoing, playful little tykes. They are at the cute stage where everything is new to them and they are not afraid of anything. Tails over the backs and they go investigate whatever they see. New noises don't frighten them either.

If you are looking for a show prospect...maybe one of these might be the right one. They live in Montana with their breeder Lari Brandon, my daughter. check our web site if you want to contact her. http://lamarsdoghouse.homestead.com

Clark Kent Garners Another Big Major Win At Wichita

I am so excited...I just got word that Lamars Clark Kent, owned by Debbie Chambers, got another 5 point major in Wichita, KS today.

Liberty who got another 5 pt major reserve today (RATS)...Two major reserves in two days on her...she could have been finished! She was sold to Dena Wortman and is staying here until she is finished.

Remy won his class all four days and on Sunday he garnered the major reserve behind Lamars Clark Kent.

Scotch was only shown two days and didn't have any competition in her class but we were proud of her ... she showed herself really well and she only needs 6 points now.

Clark Kent has 9 points(all in his first show weekend). Liberty has 8 pionts now. Scotch has 9 points. Remy has 8 points. Watch for all these Lamars kids to finish soon.

Congratulations to owners Debbie and Dena...you bought two outstanding dogs from us and I know they will be a great asset to your breeding programs.

To recap the Wichita circuit: Lamars Clark Kent 2 majors(4&5) and 1 4 pt major reserve! and Schroeders N Lamars Give Me Liberty 1-5 major and 2-5 point major reserves. Remy got a 5 pt major reserve. Not too shabby in this big entry of 35 chihuahuas.

Shouldn't your next chi be a Lamars chi?

Wichita, KS Show News

As many of you know, the 4 day circuit in Wichita draws dogs from all over the US...it is a very tough and competitive circuit. Each year our Lamars dogs have done pretty well there making us very proud indeed. This year is not exception. There is still tomorrow to come but so far Clark got the 4 pt major on Thursday and then he got the major reserve on Friday.

Then our little girl Liberty stepped right up beating 15 other smooth bitches for a whopping 5 point major. Today she then went Reserve to the 5 point major. So needless to say, we are very happy with these results. We hope tomorrow will bring us one more major on one or both of these kids...

Then let's not forget Ivy's, Remy. He is down there strutting his stuff and wins his class each day...so Remy or Clark...one of you better grab that major tomorrow!!! We're pulling for you.

Lamars Clark Kent Wins Major in First Show

WOW. Lamars Clark Kent just came to us on Saturday from being a loved house pet to try his had at being a show dog. I knew when he was a baby if he grew big enough (he was tiny) he'd be a show stopper. I finally saw him two months ago and told his owners I didn't know too many dogs that could beat him.

Today, 5 days after coming here and a quick grooming this week, he won a 4 point major in his very first show ever!! He hadn't even been to any classes and wasn't show trained. But he took everything in stride and won at the Kansas Toy Dog Specialty in Wichita. There were lots of nice dogs there and we thank friend Rob Meerdink for taking him to the show for us.

We are so excited ( I have two full siblings here that are 10 weeks old) for Clark and his owners the Chambers in Wisconsin.

We are heading this afternoon for the show so won't be any updates posted until Saturday when I get home.
