BUBBLES FINISHES HER CHAMPIONSHIP

We had happy owner Melissa Coath email today and tell us Bubbles finished her Championship 12/29/08 in San Mateo, CA.
My daughter, Lari won 3 majors in a row with Bubbles but Melissa was looking for something to show in Calif and Lari knew Bubbles would hate the upcoming Montana winter. Since Bubbles is so tiny (3 pounds) she decided the weather would better suit her in Sunny California. Lari's dogs are house dogs but she likes them to go outside to potty ... of course, most chi's don't like this idea in the winter and snow outside...lol
Anyway, that will probably be the last Champion for 2008. We have a few more that are closing in but will have to wait for the New Year. Congratulations Melissa.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

WE AT LAMARS WANT TO WISH ONE AND ALL A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the new homes our puppies went to this year and their new owners for loving them. To the people who have show puppies...best of luck with them at the shows in 2009. Keep us posted on their wins.

Watch our site for new litters and show news. This winter is dealing us all some challenges in addition to the economy. We hope and pray everyone is able to enjoy their families over this holiday. If not, just keep in touch with friends and family as much as you can. Life is very short and we all need to appreciate every minute of it with our families.

Blessings to you all.

JP Growing Up

JP is coming along nicely. He is sired by Ch. Hurds Prom Knight and out of Ch. Lamars Jada Jing of Dorhers. Ivy has so many nice boys that if you are looking for a nice long boy she might consider selling him to a very good show home. Otherwise, he'll be out in the ring this Spring with us.

Beep Beep's Litter at 9 weeks

Beeps litter (Ch. Fandango Blaze of Glory x Ch. Beep Beep) is looking pretty good for their first real 'photo shoot'. Of course, being typical chi's, some took it better than others.
Ivy will be keeping the long fawn girl and one of the smooth fawn boys. The long black girl is going to Alaska. So if you would like to inquire on one of the fawn smooth boys as a show prospect or the black smooth boy as a pet...here they are. Go to the web site for more info http://lamarsdoghouse.homestead.com or contact Ivy at rw75819@alltel.net

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FRIEND KAREN

Our good friend Karen Terry traveled to the Eukanuba show in California and came home with an Award of Merit on her beautiful Champion Ka-Lynn's Martini On The Rocks.

Karen said Marty showed the worst he has ever shown and she didn't think she was in the running at all. Marty usually shows very nicely (all her dogs show well for her, though) but he must have had jet lag cause they just flew in on Friday and had to show Saturday. Anyway, way to go Marty.

By the way, Marty is the sire of Ivy's Taeja.

GAGE MAKES US PROUD IN CALIFORNIA

Gage, the Frankie/Sugar boy that everyone wanted in the last litter, went to California this weekend and won both days he was shown!

Shawn, his owner in Montana, sent him with friends who were going for Eukanuba and they attended the two shows prior to Eukanuba this weekend. She reports he showed his little guts out and had quite the fan club! Way to go Gage.

Thursday at Los Encinos KC under Judge Robert Ennis he won Winners Dog for 2 pts and went Best Smooth Puppy.

Friday at Long Beach KC he went WD and BW for a 3 pt major. To top it off he won a PUPPY GROUP 1!!! Not to shabby Gage!!! Congratulations to me his breeder (lol) and to his owners Shawn and Lanny Jones. We will be looking for a fast finish for Gage. He is staying in California to show after the first of the year.

Watch closely for photos of Gage and more wins!

RESULTS OF LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR FOR US

We travelled 380 miles one way to go to the Fayetteville, Arkansas show in hopes to finish the IG male, JB. He lacked 2 pts and we had hoped to finish him before the first of the year. Well, best laid plans!!!! He got the point on Saturday but then on Sunday got second in his class. We were a bit upset because the dog he put over him was cow hocked as all get out! Oh well, that is dog showing. But the worst part was we waited for 4 hours after the chihuahuas' showed to take JB in the ring on the hope he'd finish and then it didn't happen.

Worst of all Gayle came down with food poisoning Saturday night so was a rough weekend and a LONNNGGGG ride home!

Remy got 3rd the first day and 1st the second day. Murray got 2nd the first day and 1st the second day!!! Liberty won her class both days and got reserve the second day.

So the weekend was sort of a bust. But you can't win them all. Our friends did pretty well so that was good.

LIBERTY AND REMY'S WIN PHOTOS

Our two latest 'stars' boasting their recent wins. Liberty and Gayle are on the left winning Best of Opposite Sex for 2 points. Liberty was only shown one day that weekend and we are so proud of her pulling off the win. She just started showing in October and we are so proud of her. The Midwest has the toughest competition in the US so for us to have the success we do, we are just thrilled for the judges to appreciate our dogs. We have some great friends we show with and against (lol) each weekend...but we have great fun and heartily congratulate each other in true comraderie and sportsmanship.

On the right is Remy and Ivy his breeder. He too is just getting his feet wet and we are so proud of them. Remy is a Beep son. These two youngsters are entered this weekend but we know the competition will be stiff again...12 smooth males to compete against for majors again. So believe me, if we win it will not be an easy one. Normally we don't show in December but we decided to hit this one last one for the year. Wish us luck.
